In other news, I have actually been READY for my Philly trip - as in everything actually packed and ready to go (less a few minor “oh, I need” items) since around 8PM this evening - this is nothing short of a miracle for me. Normally, I’d still be doing laundry at this point and freaking out. Here’s to making a concerted effort to get my sorry ass more organized and it actually paying off!

I am really looking forward to this trip. The main reason is the Philly Flower Show, which my Mom & I had said on more than one occasion that we needed to do, but unfortunately, hadn’t managed to do. Well, no time like the present. Additionally, I’ll be hitting the King Tut exhibit (ticket in hand!) and I have reservations at a couple very promising places for dinner. The Cuba Libre Restaurant and Rum Bar and
Moromoto. Yes, that Morimoto. And I’ll be doing my damndest to hit Monk’s Cafe to boot. This trip has quickly turned into the “Happy Birthday to Me” eating and drinking fest.

My del.icio.us account has been very, very handy this week with the laptop being in the shop. Just realized I’ve got over 300 links over there… Kinda crazy, but it’s nice to have it all in one place and accessible from anywhere.

Talked w/the service manager over at the shop, the DVD drive is on order and should be here in a day or so and he apologized for no one getting back to me, so here’s hoping it’s not much longer until I have my laptop again.

I can tell she’s an awesome massage therapist and loves what she does and her clients are very lucky! Also, major props for the fact that she never became Bridezilla when she was planning her wedding. Very impressive! And just an all around nice person. Not enough of those in the world if you ask me.

Not many folks are brave enough to up and move a good 2/3 of the way across the country and go back to school, but damned if she didn’t do it. :) Also, she seems to be shrinking, and has been working incredibly hard at it and doing great!!!!!!!
