New laptop arrived on Friday, had a few missteps getting it up and running and set just the way I wanted, but it’s all good now and it is SO nice to get through the day without it overheating and shutting off.
It’s also MUCH faster than the old one.
So far, I’m not finding that Vista is that different from XP, and I’ve really not had any problems navigating it.
Now, Office 2007 is more annoying with it’s changes, but I’m getting used to it.
Now, I have to go back to watching the Olympics 24/7.

Vista is pretty nice when it’s working right. The only example I have of it not working right is on HP laptops, and I think that’s just because HP throws so much preloaded crap on there.

I reinstalled it without all the Dell crap that came with it. I don’t feel like I am missing out on anything. :)

Fixed now. There is something screwy going on w/WP and my posts get seriously hosed. Thought I’d figured it out, but apparently not. They just released another update, time to go get it and hopefully it will help.
