Tickets have been acquired for Christmas in Phoenix…
It’ll be nice to at least be able to take my grandmother out for dinner and not have to worry about her slipping on the ice, though.

Is this the grandmother who has been driving you crazy on long visits to your house in the past?

Yup. Travel is such a pain in the ass for her these days, it just doesn’t make sense for her to come out here when we’re in a position that we can go out there without having to worry about getting vacation time, etc.

Ooo! Lucky you! You’re getting a warm christmas!
When’s the last time you were there? Are you planning any excursions for the time you’ll be there?
November 6th, 2007 - 3:16 pm
Haven’t been there since 1985. No excursions planned - all family stuff.

Prepare yourself for high-speed traffic and endless lines of vehicles all going in the same direction, and ending up at the same place. The museum has had an update though.

bah Humbug, I just bought my ticket to be in DC for Christmas. I’ll be in town December 21st - January 3rd.

Dammit!

I think that will be good for all parties. You can have a shorter visit, and she won’t freak out too much.
A white Christmas is overrated. I don’t think we have ever had snow on Christmas day.

Yeah, I think it will be easier on everyone. I hope.

Will you be allowed out of the house? ;-)
