We actually had what I would consider a good experience with Cox Communications today. The cable has been getting increasingly flaky of late, and the last straw was when Showtime became nothing more than a blank screen. I need my Weeds & Californication fix, dammit!
So, we call, they can’t find anything wrong on their end and they have to have a technician come out. Joy. Well, the tech made the window (granted, the very end of it, but he made it) and he pokes around and it seems the 20 year old cable that runs from the street to the house is falling apart and they’re going to have to replace it. This is where I fully expected to be told, “It sucks to be you, and you’re just going to have to wait for the new wire.” Nope - he futzed around with something at the box and things are working MUCH better already. Bonus: We don’t have to be here when they replace the wire.
Additionally, we discovered that adding on internet would be insanely easy - just a matter of putting a splitter in downstairs and little bro can handle that on his own. Which means it shouldn’t be much longer until I can get rid of the barely functioning DSL and actually have a working network!

Weeds is great! Not to mention, MLP rocks my boat, too.

You can try splitting it youself. However, if they will do it for nothing, then you may want them to do it. I had issues with my digital cable back in the days, and they had to some run a separate “clean” line to avoid the split.
However, if they will give you the hardware, then by all means do it yourself. Hell of alot faster than waiting on them.
When my cable modems would go on the fritz, I would just take them into the cable store location near my work and ask for a replacement.
Good luck with your highspeed replacement.
Do you watch Entourage? I download that from HBO viewers. Is Weeds good.? What can I compare it to?

I have yet to get around to seeing Entourage - I keep hearing good things about it, and I really need to get around to it.
I am not really sure what I could compare Weeds to, but it’s really good. Lot of dark humor.
Even the tech said it was easy to split off another line - and I’d rather avoid having to wait around for another appointment - drives me nuts having to be stuck here waiting. Figure we’ll look at the hardware and see if it does look as easy as it seems. If it looks like we’ll blow something up, I’ll happily call them to do it.

No harm and trying to do it yourself. If it works great! If not, then you just have to wait half the day for the appt.
Entourage might be more of a guys thing. Even though I see you as a cool chick, it is based on Mark Wahlbergs(?) life which seems to be high in T&A. It is funny though.
If I was to download Weeds or Californication, which would you choose as the more funny of the two? And which season. I see Weeds season 3 is new. Californication is season 1.

Californication is more weird funny, with a fair amount of topless chicks, and will quickly convince you that LA is another planet.
Weeds is more dark funny - I missed the first 2 seasons, but filling in the blanks wasn’t too hard.
If I had to pick just one, I’d go with Weeds.

Californication it is. lol :P

I figured the topless chicks comment would be the deciding factor. :)

I am downloading both seasons. So, I will give them both a chance. Thanks for the heads up.
