Well, all the critters are back in home and seem to be none the worse for wear. Target is in his spot near the back door watching the the rain come down, Snoopy is around somewhere, and Mox is in the basement with Donald.
Managed to get to the kennel with 90 seconds to spare - normally it takes 4.5-5 hours to get home. Today it was 6 hours and 20 minutes. Not even heavy traffic, just lots of little cockups that added up quickly and will frustrate you to the point where you’re reminding yourself that you have 3 cold Coronas in the cooler and no one would blame you a bit for cracking one open the minute you hit the house.
One thing you notice when you’re at the beach is how little you need in the way of stuff to be comfortable. I think the task for this coming week will be to see how much crap I can get out of this place.

Are you going to put some stuff aside for a bit then get rid of it, or just jump in and chuck it immediately?

Not sure yet - hell, I’m not even sure which room to start with, LOL.

Since 2000, I’ve moved seven times. The first was out of a home I had been in for 13 years. At the time I decided that I didn’t want to keep a lot of ’stuff’, but of course that didn’t work all that well. It worked, but I ended up with a lot of ‘treasures’ remaining. Over the ensuing years, I have downsized my ‘treasure-trove footprint’ tremendously, and I am now in a position where I feel comfortable knowing that my possessions are much more manageable. It remains to be seen if that will hold true.
No matter how hard I tried, I always ended up keeping something I had absolutely NO use for, so be forewarned. Said item(s) usually got turfed at a later date. Oh well.
Good luck!

Thanks! When I moved out of the townhouse, I got rid of a TON of stuff. Unfortunately, I moved into a house that came with it’s own stuff… I really think 99% of the stuff here could disappear and I’d not even notice. Should be an interesting task.
