OK, so my old company is desperately in need of some help and is offering some obscene cash for me to come back on a contract basis - I decide my hours and work location. However, I don’t think they realize how little I remember of the software at this point… I said I’d at least think about it, but I need to know if we’re talking truly short term, like a couple weeks, or if it would suck up the entire summer (in which case, no way in hell.)
I doubt I’ll do it, because I am sure it wouldn’t be a short enough term for me, but it’s nice that they think I’m still smart. :)

How obscene? Could you work for 4 weeks and use the money to rent a beach house the rest of the summer?

About half that - problem is, it doesn’t sound like it would be a 4 week thing - more of a “suck up the entire summer” thing, which I really don’t want.
