She just called. Wanted to see how we made it through the weekend (said she would have called sooner, but one of her grandchildren *ack* graduated high school this weekend Totally understandable - except that he’s just not old enough for that!). As I told her, “weird, but not bad.”
This is a woman to whom I have no relation except that she married my grandfather after my grandmother died.
And yet, she is just as much family as any blood relative I have.
