Yesterday they sent us home at lunch and we dialed in the rest of the day so we wouldn’t have to deal with rush hour and potentially worse weather, and given the option for today if things were still nasty.
I woke up this morning to the sound of wheels spinning on ice in front of my house and realized, I could
a) deal with ice trying to get out of the neighborhood
b) deal with clients
but there was no way both could happen and I would keep my sanity. (It’s been that kind of a week.) So, I rolled over and hit the snooze button and dialed in when 8AM rolled around. It was a very good decision as I was in a much better mental place to deal with people and working in your jammies is never a bad thing.
And how did the work slowdown go this week you ask? My partner in crime & I were again the top two closers for the week… As she said, “We are failures at slacking. I think that is likely really saying something good about us.”
More importantly, it’s the weekend. And I am off to the home show!
