OK, so we went up to Annapolis to see the Citadel’s hockey team play the Naval Academy’s B team…(aka the practice squad…) It was kinda sad, 7-0, and decidedly not in the Bulldogs favor, but damn, that is the way to watch hockey. Big indoor hangar type building, just barely large enough to hold the rink, with a balcony all around the top to view the game. You can spit on the guys and hit them - excellent for being able to see everything, and has the nose-bleed seats at the MCI center beat hands down.
As much of a blowout as it was, I think there were more Citadel fans there than Middies. Lots of fun.
Oh and leaving the hangar, halfway down the balcony stairs, Abigail (Cid grad) says, “Oh!! Naked men!” Seems that they were all getting changed downstairs, surrounded by barriers that were fine for people on the ground floor, but for those of us coming down the stairs….well, we got an eyeful. Idiot old woman that I am, I averted my eyes…
Then back to Old Town with
Warm, fat & happy descibes me best right now. And sleepy.
