So, is anyone else besides me working tomorrow?
Another full weekend. The bead shop, then Sugarloaf Craft Festival yesteday, Catoctin Colorfest today, had fun, spent too much, upped my 401k tonight to assuage my guilt.
Sugarloaf was to see a family friend of ’s, Clarence Cameron. Walked away with a pretty soapstone owl and one of his pewter ones as well. I think the soapstone one counts as my very first piece of real art. :) (Who knew dogs playing poker didn’t count?) Also picked up a nice leather pocketbook and a pretty, LARGE coffee mug for the office. Sure, the MicroCenter mug I had was utilitarian enough, but as I’ve said before, I have zip personal stuff at my desk, and it would be nice to have something that is a little more me.
Colorfest was nice, but too damn huge. Picked up a basket designed for holding silverware, but will works really well for keeping my jewelry pliers handy that the box I was using before.
had a very good time at my expense this weekend, from the dead cat jokes (stemming from my accidentally stomping the daylights out of Target and thinking I had broken his foot - he’s fine) to the use for which I acquired the above mentioned basket.
Fun stuff, but I’m overtired, head & ear-achy, cranky, and wishing it was less than 12 workdays until I go on vacation. I still have to get a couple loads of laundry done before bed, find something to eat for dinner and get the place picked up so the cleaning ladies don’t break an ankle trying to do their thing tomorrow.
- you still up for watching the cats? The cleaning service will be in just two days before we go, so I won’t have too much time to destroy the place before you come over. :)
