My week was long and tiring. Totally got in the zone and kicked ass yesterday, but still tiring
Tim’s was, too - work a 36 hour day and you’d kinda be tired, too.
So, you wouldn’t think that going out would be at the top of the list of things to do by the time quittin’ time came around on Friday night. Me neither. :)
So, I get an IM that he has to go over to Tysons II after work, how about meeting up for dinner and maybe catching a movie? Hey, I’m game, and I tell my boss that at some point my phone will be ringing and that it will be my date for the night and I wil HAVE TO GO. Boss says it sounds like an excellent idea to him.
Never did make the movies, but had a nice time anyway. Wandered around the mall waiting while for a table at Maggianos. FAO Schwarz was having a sale, so I am started on my Toys for Tots shopping for Christmas!!
I am also getting my red mixing bowls!! They are like these, but fire engine red:
They came out around V-day, but sold out immediately. I OH SO WANTED THEM. But, no luck. Tim stopped over by W-S while in the mall, picked up a catalog and saw they had them in the other colors. Got someone to call and find out if they had any in red. YES - sort of. Backordered, but ON ORDER!
When I got there, he showed me the catalog w/ the blue ones… “Well, yeah, those are nice.” Then the orange ones… “Very cute, but I just REALLY liked those red ones.” At which point he handed me the order confirmation number. WOOT!
Nice dinner, nice shopping, good unwinding time. Sets the tone for a good chill out weekend.
